About
Dr. Clarissa Cassol joined Arkana in 2020. Dr. Cassol hails from Brazil where she completed medical school at Santa Catarina Federal University and her initial anatomic pathology training at the University of Sao Paulo. She completed a further anatomic pathology residency, molecular oncologic pathology fellowship, and renal pathology fellowship at the University of Toronto, where she also served as chief resident and chief fellow. While at the University of Toronto, Dr. Cassol received a USCAP Stowell-Orbinson award and Stanley-Raphael award for professionalism. Prior to coming to Arkana, Dr. Cassol has held assistant professorships at SUNY Upstate Medical University and The Ohio State University, where she also worked as a dedicated renal and transplant pathologist. Arkana is proud to have Dr. Clarissa Cassol and we are excited to benefit from her considerable expertise in renal and transplant pathology.
