About
Dr. Rachelle Gietzen joins our staff following the completion of her fellowship training in renal pathology at Arkana Labs. During her fellowship, she received the Renal Pathology Society’s Pathologist-In-Training Best USCAP Abstract Award. Dr. Gietzen received her MD from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She completed her residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas. There she received several awards including the Resident Research Award.
In her free time, Dr. Gietzen enjoys running, spending time with her family, and in nature. Dr. Gietzen is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, Renal Pathology Society, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathology, and American Society for Clinical Pathology.
